Let me say a big “thank you” to all those who made our eighth annual “Cakes for a Cause” event such a success. Christine Hulme and her committee worked hard to make this one of our best years ever! We thank all those who were donors of cash or in-kind services, those who donated cakes and incentives, and those who attended the events Thursday or Friday and bid on the cakes. And, of course, we thank those who volunteered their time to register, photograph, display, judge, sell and relinquish the cakes to their new owners – we literally couldn’t have done it without you! Funds raised help the Foundation increase community grants, such as those found on our grants page.
Plans are being made for next year’s event, and anyone with ideas or suggestions should contact me at the office. Have a great summer!
