A Carrie Underwood fan would be thrilled to have one of the incentives being offered at the 2008 “Cakes for a Cause” community event and cake auction.

Piqua’s downtown bakery, Dobo’s Delights Bake Shop, will donate an acoustic guitar and photograph both autographed by Carrie Underwood, along with a Carrie t-shirt. The 8 x 10 photograph, signed by Carrie, is the same photograph used on the cover of her first album, “Some Hearts”. The guitar is an Ibanez V50 series, dreadnought shape, with spruce top, mahogany neck, rosewood bridge and fretboard, and chrome tuners. A black nylon gig bag is also included. The guitar and case would be valued at approximately $250 even without Carrie’s signature. With her signature, the value is significantly higher.

The community cake auction is scheduled for April 25, 2008, with a baker’s party held the evening of April 24 for all who have entered cakes. The Carrie Underwood package, which includes a large t-shirt (not signed), will be auctioned to the highest bidder during the auction on April 25, sometime between noon and 5 PM. Proceeds go into the Community Fund of The Piqua Community Foundation, and are used to make grants to worthy local charitable organizations.
