Tobias Wins Little Kinger Scholarship Meredith Tobias of Covington, Ohio is the recipient of the first Little Kinger Scholarship from The Piqua Community Foundation. The daughter of Dave and Mindy Tobias, Meredith will be attending the College of Mount Saint Joseph to study nursing. Meredith was active in volleyball, track and field, and cheerleading at Covington High School, earning 10 varsity letters; she will participate in track and volleyball at Mount St. Joseph. Meredith was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated second in her class. The Piqua Community Foundation’s Little Kinger
Fund was founded by Kristin King of Piqua, who won an Olympic Bronze medal
as part of the 2006 U.S. Women’s Ice Hockey Team. Kristin established
the fund to encourage and support girls and young women who participate
in athletics, and the fund will eventually make grants to organizations
with sports programming as well as granting scholarships.
